Hi, I'm Layane Smith , and I'm here to help you discover how relaxing and rewarding painting landscapes can be, even if you've never touched a paint brush before!
Over 20 years ago, I started my career as a dentist in Brazil, facing the stress that comes with any first job. Every day , I'd take a walk during lunch, passing by a little art studio that intrigued me. I thought, "I have no talent for this. I don't know anything about art ...why would I even try?" Maybe you've had that same feeling.
But one day, I took a chance. I stepped inside the studio and , before I knew it, found myself in the middle of an art class. Instead of slipping back out, I stayed, and that moment changed my life. I can attest to the power of receiving the right type of instruction from the beginning!
I moved to the US in 2006 and I have never stopped painting and learning, despite also working as a dentist, and raising my family. In 2020, I took a two-year art course to go from hobbyist to professional, and started painting even more, and teaching more art lessons to adult beginners, which quickly became my passion.
Since then, I've developed an even easier way to simplify painting, making it accessible and enjoyable for absolute beginners or people with busy lives. For me, finishing a piece in a short session brings a sense of calm, creativity , and accomplishment. That's what I want to share with you: 👉 the ease and relaxation painting can bring, even on a tight schedule.
